Students learn to manage time and the value of a strong work ethic. Over 90% of our Senior Dancers are also members of the National Honor Society!

  • Strong Social Skills - Children who dance can also improve their social and communication skills. Dance lessons teach children the value of teamwork, building friendships, trust and cooperation. Dance lessons have also been known to reduce anxiety and encourage relationships with peers.

  • Overall Confidence and Self-Esteem - As students master tricks, learn new skills and perform choreography their overall confidence improves. This boost in confidence is a direct link to greater self esteem and attitude.

Young Childrens Classes

Acrobatics

Students will work on basic tumbling progressions: forward rolls, backward rolls, handstands, handstand drills, cartwheels, and round-offs. For students who are advancing quickly, they will begin to focus on more challenging tumbling skills such as back walkovers and multiple cartwheels up to aerials and other advanced tricks. We will focus a great deal on flexibility and gain a deeper understanding of the role flexibility plays in dance. Students should wear a leotard/crop top, dance shorts and bare feet.

Aerial Loft

Aerial silks is a type of performance in which one or more artists perform aerial acrobatics while hanging from a fabric. Students climb the suspended fabric to wrap, suspend, fall, swing, and spiral their bodies into and out of various positions. Aerial silks may be used to fly through the air, striking poses and figures while flying. Aerial silks consist of one long piece of fabric attached in the middle to the ceiling to create two long tails. In this class you will learn to climb, invert in the air, and hang upside down. As your strength increases you will learn sequences, wraps, and drops that allow you to descend the fabric with style and grace!
