Do you want your child to learn the basics of dance while developing discipline, teamwork skills, self-confidence and creativity? Then look no further then NEDA's Young Childrens Program (YCP)!
Our YCP is the perfect mix of physical activity, creativity, technique and fun. These classes are uniquely designed for students who want to explore various styles of dance in a safe, supportive environment.
The dance curriculum focuses on building strength and flexibility, while learning the fundamental principles and techniques of dance. Our professional faculty are skilled at helping our students master the basics while coaching them to reach their fullest potential.
All students in our YCP programs have the opportunity to perform and showcase their efforts in our professional Dance Extravaganza held in June.

Improved Physical Health - Don't be fooled by all the fun! Dance is a highly physical activity. It doesn't just increase your child's physical strength, flexibility and stamina it also improves muscle tone, posture balance and coordination.
Educational Benefits - Learning doesn't stop when your child leaves the dance classroom. Dance lessons ignite creative thinking. Children learn discipline and focus. Students learn to manage time and the value of a strong work ethic. Over 90% of our Senior Dancers are also members of the National Honors Society!
Strong Social Skills - Children who dance can also improve their social and communication skills. Dance lessons teach children the value of teamwork, building friendships, trust and cooperation. Dance lessons have also been known to reduce anxiety and encourage relationships with peers.
Overall Confidence and Self-Esteem - As students master tricks, learn new skills and perform choreography their overall confidence improves. This boost in confidence is a direct link to greater self esteem and attitude.
