30 years of knowledge and expertise working with preschool age children. An experience that is active, educational and creative. An opportunity for children to learn and socialize in a nurturing environment without iPads, iPhones, tablets or screens.
How is your Fine Arts Club different from preschool or daycare?
NEDA Fine Arts Club is a fun and active program that allows children to develop skills and talents at a young age. children participate in Dance, Yoga, Fitness classes while enjoying Music, Art and Drama daily. Each week the students will enter a new THEME, each class is filled with numerous opportunities for creativity and imagination.
How old does my child need to be?
Mini Movers: Ages 2-3 (must be 2 years old by the first day of the program).
Little Movers: Ages 3-5 (must be 3 years old by the first day of the program. 3 year olds who are new to non-parented classes should consider Mini Movers as their introduction.
Do I drop my child off?
Yes! You will be encouraged to say your goodbyes and allow our skilled teachers to take your child into class. If this is your child's first time in a non-parented setting it is not uncommon to see tears. It may take your little one a few weeks to feel secure and confident in their new environment. Our main goal is to insure your child feels safe and protected. We have an integration policy so we can ease your child into the classroom setting.
Am I able to stay and wait?
We use the entire studio for these 2 - 2.5 hour sessions. Children will go from classroom to classroom for different classes and activities, therefor it is not in their best interest to see their parent in the waiting area between classes. Parents will be invited into the classroom to watch during designated viewing weeks throughout the year.
If you choose to enroll your child in a weekly 1 hour dance class (separate from The fine Arts Club), a designated waiting area for parents is provided for your convenience. We understand it is difficult to leave when you only have 1 hour, so we happily provide a waiting area for our regular classes.
What if my child has separation anxiety?
It's perfectly normal for children to have anxiety and separation issues when they first begin. Our teachers are prepared to help your child adjust to this new dynamic of leaving mom or dad at the door. In the beginning, we give your child approximately 30 minutes to ease into the class.
Our teachers are well-trained in comforting your child and easing them into the class. If your child is still upset and feeling scared, our teachers will call you. Usually within 3-4 drop offs, your child will understand the routine and will be comfortable with attending class independently.
Does my child need to be potty-trained?
If you are enrolling your child in Mini Movers, they do not need to be potty trained. However, we do ask that you please send extra diapers and/or pull-ups with your child's name on them.
Is there a registration fee?
There is a $50 non-refundable deposit due at the time of registration.
